The full moon appears when the Moon and the Sun are aligned on opposite sides of the Earth, however, when the Moon is between the Sun and the Earth, what we see is darkness. The duality of light and darkness is always there, only we cannot see both at one given time. Our suspended lamp Moon changes the source of light imitating the phases of the Moon and shows us its different faces.
